TRANSPORT MANAGER REFRESHER - TWO DAY COURSE

The certificate of attendance for completing this transport manager refresher course is accepted by the Office of the Traffic Commissioner.  The first day can counts towards 7hrs of driver CPC should you need it.

The training is delivered by a training provider of repute and the transport manager refresher course is delivered by a former VOSA (DVSA) Examiner who holds international freight and passenger transport manager CPC and is currently the nominated transport manager on two licences, one PSV and one HGV.

If your role is one of the following then our transport manager refresher course is for you:

• A Transport Manager who has received a direction from the Traffic Commissioner requiring them to enrol on a Transport Manager refresher course delivered by a training provider of repute.

• A Transport Manager who wishes to refresh their knowledge of their role and the responsibilities required of them.

• An employer or employee who overseas or assists a Transport Manager and would like to gain a further insight into the role and responsibilities of the operator licence holder and their Transport Manager.

• If you are new to the industry and have only recently passed the Transport Manager CPC exam.
  
  

Due to the responsibility placed on you as a Transport Manager it is recommended that you enrol on a transport management refresher course. Preferably, a 2 day transport manager refresher course would be best, although a condensed 1 day transport manager refresher course is also available (See our OLAT course below). Our transport manager refresher course is delivered at our training venue in either Whalley or Burnley in Lancashire, but can be delivered nationally, even on site at your depot if required, at an additional cost.

All of the Operator licence undertakings are broken down one by one and the compliance systems needed to maintain a healthy operator licence are examined.

OPERATOR LICENCE AWARENESS & COMPLIANCE (OLAC) - ONE DAY COURSE

Our Operator Licence Awareness & Compliance (OLAC) will help you make changes to your operator licence in the required manner and look at how to set up and run your compliance systems for maintenance / vehicle checks /driver defect reporting /drivers hours and working time / driver licensing / safe loading and correct loading and help you to fulfil your operator licence undertakings. The course will cover the following areas:

1. Compliance with and analysis of driver’s hours, tachograph rules and working time.

2. Robust record keeping systems.

3. Operator licence undertaking compliance.

4. Driver walk round checks.

5. Driver defect reporting system.

6. Preventative maintenance inspections (PMI’s) and forward planning.

7. Quality assurance checks.

8. Operator licence changes.

9. Driving licence checks.

As an operator you will need to demonstrate robust compliance systems which will stand up to the test, ensuring your operator licence undertakings are complied with to safeguard your operator licence. Our operator licence awareness course will look to promote your company towards “green” on the operator compliance risk score for both maintenance, drivers hours and the new combined OCRS score, allowing DVSA to concentrate their efforts on the less compliant operators, allowing you go about your business with the minimum of inconvenience and reducing the likely hood of any negative interest from DVSA or the Traffic Commissioner.
